Stillwater Pioneers Baseball History
The Stillwater Pioneers are led by Coach Tony Holt and
Assistant Coaches Chance Jeffery, Casey McCullough and Kyle
Johnson. Coach Holt is in his 2nd year as Head Coach of
the Pioneers. In the last ten years, the Pioneers have compiled
a win-loss record of 266-117. Stillwater was crowned the
Frontier Conference Champions in 1999 and 2001and Centennial
Conference Champions in 2008, as well as being crowned Regional
Champions in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2004, and 2005. In 2001
Stillwater made their way to the 6A State Championship game
where they fell 6-4 to the defending State Champions Owasso
Rams.
Over the past years the Pioneers have been blessed
with an array of great players, (listed below) many of which
have gone on to play at the collegiate and professional levels.
Stillwater has produced collegiate players, and MLB draft picks.
Among these great players is 1998 graduate Matt Holliday a MLB
All-Star for the Colorado Rockies and currently playing for the
St. Louis Cardinals. Also making his debut into the MLB ranks is
2001 SHS graduate and Oklahoma State 1st round draft pick, Josh
Fields(3B) for the Chicago White Sox and currently with the
Kansas City Royals and 2006 SHS graduate Brett Anderson (P) for
the Oakland A’s.
